A Total Eclipse of the Moon

Isn't that a song? We set the alarm for 5:30 this morning to see the lunar eclipse first hand. Picture one is optical zoom as far as it will go and picture two is optical zoom + digital zoom so it is a tad pixilated.

A lunar eclipse happens when the Earth gets directly between the sun and the moon, blocking the light that normally reflects off the moon. According to NASA, it will be a 90 minute total eclipse time. (We are currently in the 90 min time frame so I can't tell you yet if that is accurate, but I trust NASA estimates.)
