Sheba's Adventure to the Grand Canyon

Click on any image to see it larger.

Sheba was very popular. Many people wanted to stop and pet her. She got to eat and play in some snow and was very happy about that.

The funniest "Sheba moment" was when we were eating lunch in a grassy area and two young (early 20's) Japanese guys stopped. They looked at her and started laughing and pointing. They came up to us and said, "Picture?" Each guy knelt down by her while the other one snapped a shot. They didn't speak much English, but when Sheba was done licking their ears, they pointed at her and asked us, "Name?" We told them and they giggled and repeated, "Shee-baa." We got a real kick out of that!

Our Snowy Saturday Fun

Pictures of our day in the snow. We saw the snow on the mtns from our neighborhood in the first 2 photos. We decided to drive to Cave Creek (about 1/2 an hr) to see the snow. It accumulated on a golf course and tons of families were out there so their kids could play. We decided to take a snowball home for Sheba and she ate it up in a flash! (FYI: you can click on any photo to see it larger.)

Recipe Page

I've come up with what I think is a neat idea. Each time I make one of Grandma's recipes, I will take photos and then make a recipe page for it. On this one, I even scanned in the recipe card she gave me and doctored it a bit, so that is her handwriting! Eventually, I'll have enough pages for a Grandma Fultz recipe book. :) If any of you family members want in on this, send me photos and the recipe and I will create. This is my first attempt, so I may end up redoing it sometime. If you want a copy of this let me know and I will email you the full size version so you can print it off nicely. Or, if you only want a copy of the recipe card pictured I could send that too. Happy cooking!

...Well, eventually I hope! :)
Here is my 2nd attempt at a digital scrap page. I guess Sheba is my current subject matter. Eventually I'll move on to people. What do you think?

So, I've been collecting some digital scrapbooking kits and finally decided to spend some time putting a page together. Here it is. Hopefully I'll get better the more I do. When you receive our Christmas cards, you'll get to see some more of my handy work.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I made and sent out Thanksgiving cards to family this week. I made a few variations, so here is a photo of each one. Hope you all enjoyed the card you received! I had a lot of fun making them. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the bottom left card has leaves embossed on the cream paper. We wish we could be with you all on this Thanksgiving Day. We are thinking of you and are thankful we have you in our lives.

Balloon Festival

Saturday Mark & I went to the hot air balloon festival with Nicky, Clinton, and CK's parents. Hot air balloons are commonly seen in the mornings here. That is the one thing I enjoy about my morning commute. :) If you want to see more photos, click the Balloon Festival Photos link to the right...

Missing Fall

Mark and I are really missing the midwest right now! We live in the desert... there just aren't any pretty fall leaves to admire. The closest thing we have is a cactus that is losing its needles. HA! Our friends, Chad & LouAnn, sent us a photo from Freeport. Thanks guys!!

Our Niece

Avery Ann turned ONE on September 25th. I emailed my brother and told him we hadn't seen any photos of her lately and he immediately sent me a link to shutterfly. I love instant gratification! Here is one of the photos from his album. Don't you just love her party hat? :)
